Russell Martin traces the history of a lock of hair that supposedly was snipped from Beethoven`s corpse by Ferdinand Hiller, a gifted musician who admired the composer. Although it was Hiller`s most prized possession, no one knows what happened to the hair during the period between Hiller`s death and the late 1990s, when it ended up in the hands of two Arizonians. Martin also discusses the DNA test results, which he feels reveal much about Beethoven`s physical condition.
