Cervantes is a mouse who lives in the cookbook section of a bookstore, happily eating the words that describe delicious recipes. One day Cervantes wonders into a different section of the store and discovers what a story is--by falling into one. Suddenly Cervantes is in a medieval monastery where he meets Sigfried, a young scribe who longs to become a knight. Together, boy and mouse go off to battle Censor, a terrible dragon who has captured all the storytellers and threatens to destroy all stories forever.
