Mobil Masterpiece Theatre presents this adaptation of Arthur Miller`s 1995 play that juxtaposes a Jewish couple`s marriage problems with the Nazi`s persecution of Jews. Set in Brooklyn, circa 1938, BROKEN GLASS stars Margot Leicester as Sylvia, a pretty Jewish housewife who becomes obsessed with stories of the atrocities the Nazis have perpetrated against her people. Soon, Sylvia becomes unable to walk, for reasons her husband Phillip (Goodman) cannot fathom. He convinces her to visit Dr. Harry Hyman, whom Sylvia uses as a sounding board for her pent-up frustrations and concerns. However, as their relationship becomes more intense, Phillip begins to suspect that their relationship may be more than just professional. A gritty, heartbreaking drama that painfully conjures up images of the holocaust and exposes the abuse latent in all human relationships, BROKEN GLASS is a thrilling return to form from Arthur Miller.
