This story of Santa delivering the Christmas toys pays homage to The House That Jack Built in its rhyming verse, but with some serious twists. This is the snow/that fell on the house/where the children slept. After Santa drops off the toys, the Rat King from the Nutcracker climbs out of his package and kidnaps a doll from the next stocking over. The Nutcracker and an assortment of other toys pitch in, and by the time the children open their presents, they're none the wiser about the battle that's just occurred under the tree.
