Whenever David gets into trouble he has an excuse for his behavior such as It`s not my fault, I didn`t mean to, and even (after eating a dog biscuit) I was hungry. Eventually David takes responsibility for his actions, offers an apology, and is rewarded with a loving hug from his mother. Color illustrations accompany the text.
