When Gunnery Sergeant Burns (Dryer) takes a post at an American Embassy in the Middle East, he finds that he and his team are limited in their actions due to the American Government`s pedantic attitude toward the host country. Inimitably, this results in tragedy, as a fanatical terrorist group attacks the compound and takes hostages. Ignoring the requests of his own government, the gung ho Burns becomes a one-man army in an attempt to free the abductees.
