Dinky Hocker does not shoot smack, but she does have a big weight problem--and a mother who is so involved with helping recovering addicts that she won`t take the time to understand her own daughter. The only ones who seem to care are Tucker, her 15-year-old neighbor, and Natalia, her cousin who is just graduating from a school for the mentally disturbed. Eventually, Dinky finds that only drastic measures will make her parents see how much she needs them.
