Amy Krouse Rosenthal's little volume is difficult to describe, but it's definitely delightful. Taking encyclopedias and Sei Shonagon's pillow book as her models, Rosenthal proceeds through the alphabet, tells us what she thinks about various things (air conditioners, chef's hats, death, marshmallows, optimists), and in the process tells us who she is. And who is she? A witty, whimsical, smart, and obsessive 39-year-old woman whose first word, fittingly, was more. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.
