The European Concerts mounted by the Berlin Philharmonic take place in a different European city every year. For the eleventh year, Istanbul was chosen and the concert took place in the city`s oldest church St. Irine, or the Church of the Holy Peace. Mariss Jansons conducted the orchestra through renditions of Haydn`s Symphony No. 94, Berlioz`s Symphonie Fantastique and Mozart`s Flute Concerto No.2.
