Reverend Leroy Stidger (1885-1949) brought modern marketing and publicity tactics to his crusade to save souls. He was the inspiration for Sinclair Lewis` novel Elmer Gantry, and served as the forerunner to Billy Graham and Jerry Falwell. The story of Stidger`s life is told here by his grandson, Jack Hyland.
