When little Faith Fox`s mother dies giving birth to her, she is dumped by her negligent father, Andrew, at the hippie community where his brother is the guru. Faith`s fate is in dispute as various relatives, including dotty grandparents, a pair of burglars, and an 11-year-old half-cousin try to figure out what on earth to do with the child.
