In this story set in 1920s-era New York City, a Chinese-American boy named Henry loves to spend his days flying kites in a nearby park. However, that park is also the hangout of a group of Italian-American kids, a tough boy named Tony among them, who seem to like nothing better than throwing rocks at the kites Henry and his friends fly. Although Henry's grandfather tells him to ignore Tony and his pals, Henry is unable to do so, and decides to confront Tony face to face. What Henry learns from Tony changes the perspectives of both boys and paves the way for a peaceful resolution to their conflict. Color illustrations accompany the text. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005.
