This authentic Hummel figurine titled'Little Thrifty' was first modeled in 1939 by master sculptor Arthur Moeller and restyled in 1963 by Rudolf Wittman. The piece is actually a bank made with a metal lock and key on the bottom. The object into which'Little Thrifty' is putting her coin is a medieval form of a Poor Box, something still found in many older European churches.
