Napoleon takes a trip to Egypt and can`t help bringing back a crocodile along with his other souvenirs. Everyone in Paris loves the crocodile and wants to make him as comfortable as possible. Although the crocodile thinks that the people in Paris are nice, he`s not too thrilled with the food they serve him. He misses his usual meals of flamingo or buffalo--what`s he supposed to do with a croissant? He just wants to go back to Egypt, but that might not be so easy....With bold color illustrations throughout. Selected by the New York Times Book Review as one of the Best Illustrated Children`s Books of 1999.
