Hip-hop irrevocably changed the face of the music world when it emerged on the streets of New York City in the late 1970s. The early days of the genre were spontaneous and inspired, with block parties and house parties suddenly turning into fierce MC competitions, alongside incredible displays of scratching from emergent DJ`s. Here some of the forefathers of hip-hop come together and reminisce on those early days, providing some poignant recollections, and offering a timely reminder that the music still sounds as fresh as ever.
