L`Autre contains 90 photographs that Luc Delahaye took of passengers on the Paris Metro between 1995 and 1997 using a hidden camera. Having collected a gallery of likenesses and lived with them since they were committed to film, Delahaye is in a unique position to challenge the assumption that we might have some claim to our own image, while in reality it is a worthless alias of ourselves and everywhere without us knowing it. Our likeness is something we present to the outside world wherever we go -- even to the stranger who sits opposite us on a train.
