Claude Miller`s L`EFFRONTEE explores both the universal adolescent angst of realizing that the world is not what you hoped it would be and the intense emotions associated with first love. Charlotte, a young girl from Savoie, quickly bonds with young visiting pianist Clara. Through her relationship with Clara, Charlotte falls in love with piano factory worker Jean, a much older man. The complex feelings that Charlotte develops for both Clara and for Jean eventually allows her to understand what she really wants from life.
