Written in 1850, L'ENFANCE DU CHRIST was a sprawling, ever-changing work from Berlioz that took him a considerable time to finish. The composer finally drew the work to a close in 1854, four years after its inception. Split into three parts (Le Songe d'Herode, La Fuite en Egypte, and L'Arrivee a Sais), it was first aired in 1854 in Paris, to huge acclaim. Presented here, the work still manages to touch a nerve and bring forth a well of emotions, with its timeless quality and wonderful performances still sounding fresh to the ear.DVD Features:Region (unknown)Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Audio: Stereo - French Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005.
