Young farmhand Isidro takes a field job in the United States to get money to marry his girlfriend, Hilaria, but he stays there longer than he plans and she takes a job singing at a fair. There, she is spied by a rich man from town, along with a gambling man named Antonio, and they both attempt to romance her.
