La Nuit Americaine (Day for Night), Francois Truffaut`s homage to the cinema, Charts the pleasures and pains of the cast and crew of a film being shot in the Victorine Studios in Nice. It was the winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 1973. Roger Crittenden draws on research in the archives of Truffaut`s company, Les Films du Carrosse, and on interviews with many of the film`s cast and crew.
