The swelteringly hot and sultry Southern city New Orleans has one of the richest musical histories in the United States. Jazz and blues were both at least partly cultivated in the Louisiana city, which has produced legends Allen Touissant, Dr. John, and the Neville Brothers, among countless others. These are the three famous acts celebrated on LEGENDS OF NEW ORLEANS, which captures their stellar performances at the 2000 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Singer-songwriter Bonnie Raitt makes a special guest appearance.
