Sixteen-year-old Lara Ardeche has always been pretty, she`s even a beauty pageant winner and a homecoming queen. Then she inexplicably starts to gain weight and no matter how much she diets or exercises she continues to put on the pounds. When Lara consults a doctor, she`s diagnosed with a metabolic disorder with no known cure and it seems she will continue to gain weight no matter what she does. Now over 200 pounds, Lara has to adapt not only to being overweight but also to the changes in her relationships with her image-conscious family and friends.
