Peggy Lee is addicted to TV, so zombified she`s become the prototype for the ideal viewer of every network TV president`s dreams: she sleeps on her TV, dreams about TV shows, even has commercial breaks between dreams. Her dog, Mr. Barkley, worries that Peggy Lee is too young to become the model consumer (there`s always adolescence for that), so he distracts her into learning about life beyond the network fix.
