When a young Vietnamese-American is shot and killed with a crossbow, the prime suspect is a member of a white supremacist group. After reluctantly meeting with the accused, attorney Ben Kincaid is convinced of the man`s innocence and agrees to defend him despite an oppressive atmosphere of xenophobia and racism.
