This triple-bill features three low-budget films from the early 1940s. First, DETECTIVE KITTY O'DAY (Jean Parker) goes above and beyond the call of duty in her job as a switchboard operator when her boss is murdered and she undertakes an investigation. This vexes her boyfriend Johnny (Peter Cookson), especially when Kitty becomes both prime suspect and the murderer's next target. Then, Snuffy Smith (Bud Duncan) gets tired of evading the law as a moonshiner, and decides to join the army in PRIVATE SNUFFY SMITH. Unfortunately things aren't much better on the other side of the law, especially when Snuffy is framed by the enemy for the theft of a valuable range finder. CLUB PARADISE is a gritty drama about Julie Rogers (Doris Merrick), whose attempt to escape her dismal existence with her family leads to her involvement with ne'er do well Danny Burke (Robert Lowery). She enters a downward spiral of crime, forced into becoming a dancer at the seedy Paradise Club, where her fate with Danny is sealed forever. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only.
