It is painted using the same paints as used to paint drywall or plaster. It is best that you first apply a primer to seal the bisque surface. Then, using a spray gun or a clean, high-quality brush, apply two to three coats of flat, satin or semi-gloss water-base paint made for drywall or plaster. This fixture does need to be hard wired. Professional installation is recommended.
