What is a quirkyalone? A quirkyalone--a term invented by the author--is someone who values her individuality, and is not prepared to give it up for any reason. She is unwilling to date for the sake of dating; when she chooses a partner, she does so without compromising her high standards for true romance. An expansion of a zine article reprinted in Utne Reader, QUIRKYALONE is the handbook for people who have realized that fulfilling social expectations is not a sufficient reason to be part of a couple.
