DVD double-feature containing Davies` filmmaking debut, as well as a collection of visual performances. Come Dancing is a 1986 video collection which proves that the band could survive in the MTV era. Composed of conceptual clips directed by Julian Temple ( The Great Rock & Roll Swindle , Absolute Beginners ) and live clips of more Ray Davies` songs of the difficulty of modern life and the plight of the everyman, the featured tracks include Come Dancing, Predictable, Lola (live), State of Confusion, Don`t Forget to Dance, You Really Got Me (live), Do it Again, and Celluloid Heroes. Return to Waterloo, directed by Davies himself in 1985, is a long form video telling the story of a middle-aged commuter and his experiences with reality, fantasy, love, and violence in the modern world. Called Very moving and very, very disturbing... by Martin Scorsese, this interesting work is also notable for featuring an early performance by Tim Roth.
