Like THE BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB, RHYTHM & SMOKE is a celebration of Cuban music and culture. Filmed entirely in Cuba, this DVD features two programs the RHYTHM VERSION and the CIGAR VERSION. The former documents the music of Cuba and features a number of performances by some of Cuba`s greatest musicians, including Jose Luis Changuito Quintana. The latter is a documentary about the centuries old art of making cigars. It details the entire process, from growing the tobacco to drying and rolling it, and includes an outstanding soundtrack of Cuban music.
