This work is a major monograph on the architecture--predominantly houses--developed by the firm of Robert A. M. Stern Architects from 1969 to 1997. It is a companion to the popular Robert A. M. Stern: Buildings and contains an abundance of color photographs and line drawings of over 45 houses built by the firm, as well as the stories behind them. Mr. Stern stresses the notion of architecture as a reflection of the history and physical traits of its intended region.
