Jo Slater is shocked to discover that her recently deceased husband has left his vast fortune to his mistress, Monique de Passy. The Manhattan penthouse, the Hamptons mansion, the art, the securities: all of it has been bequeathed to the homewrecking little French aristocrat. Jo decides not to get mad, but to get even, and she sets about trying to frame Monique for murder.
