Lucien Taylor loves two women, the seductive mysterious Emily and the virtuous Suzanne. Emily ditches Lucien in favor of a doctor; Lucien marries Suzanne and goes to work in Central America. Emily murders the doctor, and Lucien feels compelled to bail Emily out, leaving his wife and child, and moving to Emily's ranch.
