Set in 1865, SONG OF SCHEHERAZADE is a musical, dramatic tale of composer Rimsky-Korsakov (a.k.a. Nicky played by Aumont) whom, upon shore leave during his time as a Russian naval academy cadet meets Cara, (DeCarlo) a beautiful woman who secretly dances as Scheherazade in a cabaret. The two eventually embark on a romantic relationship, but in time Cara becomes frustrated when she realizes that what's most important to Nicky is not their relationship, but the composition of his next masterpiece.
