This volume combines two autobiographical works by the Hungarian writer Miklos Banffy and translated in part by his daughter. FROM MY MEMORIES (1932) covers his youth as a diplomat in the days when the Habsburg Empire was self-destructing as a result of World War I, and his down-and-out period after the war when he survived (barely) in Holland as a portrait painter. TWENTY-FIVE YEARS covers his career as Hungary's Foreign Minister (1921-22). Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.
