Ray Barrett stars as Harry Spalding, a man haunted by the mysterious death of his brother, in this Hammer Studios horror picture. Determined to investigate the circumstances behind his brother`s death, Harry and his wife Valerie pick up and move into his late brother`s house in Cornwall. There, Harry learns about the reclusive Dr. Franklyn, a former theology professor who specialized in studying arcane religions, and his daughter Anna. After some more prying into the life of Dr, Franklyn, Harry is attacked by a strange reptilian creature who miraculously leaves him alive and convinced that he has found his brother`s killer. One of Hammer`s best movies, THE REPTILE is by turns atmospheric and gruesome, and is a thoroughly creepy and entertaining film.
