A continuation of the adventures of Ormi and his magic cupboard which can bring plastic toys to life. In this sequel to The Indian in the Cupboard, it has been more than a year since Ormi and his friend Patrick have used the cupboard. This time, when the duo peer inside, they discover to their horror that their friend Little Bear has been horribly wounded while fighting in the French and Indian War. They manage to save Little Bear, but when Ormi devises a way to observe the past, they find that playing with time is a tricky proposition.
