Based on a series of short stories by John Updike, TOO FAR TO GO follows the joys and sorrows of a loving couple (Michael Moriarty and Blythe Danner) as they devolve from the romantic days of early marriage to the resentments and extramarital affairs which eventually lead to their divorce. This intelligent, made-for-television drama was such a critical success that it later received a theatrical release.
