The true story of 14th-century Muslim explorer and scholar Ibn Battuta. At the age of 21, Battuta left his home Morocco and began a pilgrimage to Mecca. That journey, which stretched out over 29 years, took Battuta to North Africa, Jerusalem, Persia, India, China, Tangier, the Sahara desert, and finally back to Morocco.
