While on his honeymoon with Celeste, Babar accidently crashes their hot air balloon and they land on Cannibal Island. Meanwhile, back in Elephants` Country, Arthur the elephant plays a mean trick and refuses to apologize, thus setting off a war between the elephants and the rhinoceroses. Will Babar and Celeste ever return to Elephants` Country, and if they do, will they be able to end the war? Color illustrations accompany the text.
