Tucson is undeniably an Old West town. Its history includes prehistoric peoples and Indian tribes, and Mexico, Mormons, the Confederacy, and the raucous times of railroads and mining, cowboys, and cattle drives. While much of its appeal today lies in its mild winters, world-famous golf courses, and great Mexican food, there is much more to contemporary Tucson. Both year-round residents and winter visitors know and love this jewel of the desert. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.
