Rachel is 12, it`s the late 1960s, and her life is not a happy one: her parents are having problems, her sister is way more popular than she is, racial tensions are plaguing her home town of Teaneck, New Jersey. When a superhero called S-Man enlists her to help him rescue troubled writers, she is glad to don a cape and cooperate. As she helps Shakespeare work out a plot and battles villains like Laff Riot and Malathion, she finds herself better able to cope with her own life`s woes.
