Four frustrated housewives, tired of their oppressive and abusive spouses, leave their husbands, children, and small Mexican town behind in search of something better. They end up in Guadalajara, and find work at a cabaret. One of the four gets mixed up with a drug dealer, and another has a shot at reaching Los Angeles with some stolen money, but one husband is intent on finding the woman who abandoned him.
