Consummate Polish death metal band Vader were the first band to emerge from behind the Iron Curtain when they signed to British label Earache in 1986. This record contract came about on the strength of the band's tape MORBID REICH, which became the best-selling demo in the history of death metal. Vader has toured with some of the biggest names in heavy metal, including Slayer, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, and Malevolent Creation. Their brutally aggressive sound nonetheless retains a thread of melody, and displays excellent musicianship that has helped them maintain their popularity in the metal underground.
