James Haug was Born in Brooklyn, New York, and educated at the University of Massachusetts in Boston and in Amherst. He has been a recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Massachusetts Cultural Council. His chapbook, Fox Luck, won the Center for Book Arts' Chapbook Award and was published in a limited edition. He is the author of one previous collection of poems, The Stolen Car.
