Former FBI agent--and convicted Watergate figure--Liddy reflects on how his country has changed from when he was a youth. He recalls the palpable sense of liberty and freedom of expression that he felt then; and he asserts that these have been seriously eroded by government and culture. He cites the loss of specific rights (to bear arms, for example), the encroachment by government into homes (where a man`s home is no longer his castle), and a policing of thought and expression.
