Susan Brind Morrow is fascinated by the workings of nature and, particularly, by her part of the country: New York's agelessly beautiful Finger Lakes region. As she roams the countryside, Morrow notices much that is often overlooked and, in these essays, she describes it lyrically, sometimes wandering into related topics such as childhood summers at her family's camp and the history of the Finger Lakes region, which was among other things a hotbed of women's-suffrage activism in the mid-19th century. And, as the title of this collection indicates, she is especially interested in wolves and bees. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.
